about abjectivity

mission

abjectivity is a queer and trans space of meaning synthesis through community and creativity.

we reject and embrace contradiction, and maintain that meaning is endlessly deferred and inaccessible except through the play of interactions that constitute our social landscape.

abjectivity emerges from hyperconnectivity and interpolation, synthesis and syncretism, contradiction and paradox. as such, we welcome all forms of artistic production and critical engagement as connective nodes within our theoretico-practical creative ecosystem.

a commitment to the interrelation of all things necessitates an openness to encounters with the unexpected in the interstitial spaces where semantic intercourse occurs. we recognize borders as sites of exchange where new meaning is produced, and work for the proliferation of sites of incongruence to incubate generative tension.

gwen is super cool

august has spent years searching for meaning, only to realize that she is happiest while surrounded by queer community, falling, or both. nothing can stop her from getting lost in theory about gender, language, and consciousness.
